Welcome to the November edition of What’s What. We have an awesome new ratings app to tell you about this month, so you’ll be able to see exactly what people are watching on the Fetch TV box at anytime. We also give you a bit more information on Telstra TV and how it compares to Fetch TV if customers do ask the question. Read on for more details.
Harvey Norman staff are now able to purchase a Fetch TV box for the special price of $199 incl GST. There is a limit of 1 per employee. To order yours follow the steps in the blue box.
We’ve created a new real time ratings app that is fun to play with to see what our customers are watching at any point in time. The ratings app is only available on smartphones or tablets. Simply click on the link from your smartphone or tablet to download the app instantly.
You can look at the split between viewing of live Free to Air TV, Live Subscription (Entertainment Pack) channels, and On Demand viewing (including Recorded TV, YouTube, Movie & TV Store and Netflix). You may be surprised to see how much live TV our customers watch even though they have access to loads of on-demand content in the TV and Movie Stores, the PVR and Netflix.
On Demand includes Netflix, YouTube, Movie Store, TV Store, Recordings and Catch-Up TV.
To change the view, select the menu on the top left of the screen. Look at ratings for channels, and if you tap the blue bar you can expand out to see channels within the group.
Telstra TV has launched. It’s a Roku streaming box, that will offer customers a place to access streaming services, alongside Catch-Up TV and Bigpond movies. There are no digital tuners integrated into the box to watch free to air, no harddrive for recordings, and currently no ability to watch subscription channels. It is essentially a secondary box in a persons house as you need to change HDMI source to watch free to air and need more than one remote. With Fetch TV all your entertainment is in the one place, making it a primary box controlled by one single remote. Take a look below for a comparison between Fetch TV and Telstra TV.
